Royal Enfield Journey in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, IFAD Motors has already officially launched four Royal Enfield motorcycle models. Which marked the iconic brand’s entry into the local market of Bangladesh. Models including Hunter, Classic, Bullet, and Meteor are priced from Tk 3.4 lakh to Tk 5.20 lakh.
Motorcycles whose engine cc limit was more than 165 cc were banned in Bangladesh. These launches increased the limit to 375cc after the government’s decision last year. After the ban was lifted, these Royal-Enfield motorcycles are being assembled locally at Ifad Motors’ manufacturing facility in Chouddagram, Comilla.

At Khulna Mr Rahman – a biker and bike enthusiast, expressed his excitement about the launch of Royal ..Enfield bikes in Bangladesh. He feels that these “Royal..Enfield” bikes will not offer ultimate value for money.
The durability, look, and sound of the motorcycles are excellent. But the vibration of this bike is too much adding insufficient acceleration. They have very low mileage compared to other motorcycles in this segment.

Still now Royal – Enfield bike is expected to make the launching event a special occasion for the country’s biker community.
Finally, Bullet, Meteor, Hunter, and Classic – four models of Royal .Enfield bikes have been launched in Bangladesh. This has been made possible by a policy change that allows only locally-made motorbikes with engines up to 350cc on the road until September 2023.
Because, the import of fully built bikes above 165cc is still prohibited in Bangladesh.
